Honeymoon blog, day 4: Au Revoir Paris? Pas plus viet…

We finally checked-out of our hotel this morning (not without one more pastry-filled breakfast), but left our bags at the front desk for one last day to explore Paris. Our adventure started with a trip north to Monmarte, where we climbed the hill to Sacre-Coeur, one of the oldest churches in Paris. We went inside to tour and Lauren found a prayer ring which spins around your finger so you can count your rosary prayer beads. Honeymoon blog, Day 3: Je t’aime, Paris

Today defined what makes Paris great during the fall, as cloudy weather turned back to sunny without being too warm and leaves falling all along the tree lined streets.  We started today with another huge breakfast in the hotel’s lobby, so much that Lauren needed a short nap before going out.  We tried taking the Metro as far as St. Micheal, where we ran into delays when transferring to the RER, so we decided to walk along the Seine as the sun started coming out. What a difference a day makes! We got a full night’s sleep and woke up early to eat a huge continental breakfast in the hotel lobby, including the best croissants Lauren or I have ever had, along with local yogurt and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Then we headed straight into the city for a full day of adventure in Paris.
