Honeymoon blog, Day 7: Auf Weidersen Munich!

We slept in a little while (probably from all the fun we had last night) before checking out of the hotel. We decided to visit the farmer’s market once again for breakfast, where Lauren found a local grill that sold her a tasty bratwurst folded into a roll like a sandwich, and we did some shopping for gifts. Honeymoon blog, Day 6: Prost Muenchen!

Woke up early and well rested for a visit to the Virtualienmarkt (farmer’s market) right across the street from Hotel Louis for fruehstuck (breakfast), and we ate pastries and apfel-strudel with coffee. From there we rode the Strassenbahn (street train) all the way out of the city center to Schloss Nymphenburg, the palace of the kings of Bavaria spent their summers and where King Ludwig II was born. Honeymoon blog, Day 5: Trans-Europe Express

We woke up early (4:30am) at Hotel Ibis to catch the airport shuttle to the airport’s RER B stops to Gare du Nord, then a short walk back to Gare du Est. I grabbed a cup of coffee and croissants for the trip and we managed to catch a ride to Stuttgart. At first we couldn’t find any free seats on the train (we sat in a couple “reserved” spots only to be kicked out), but maybe 15-20 minutes into our journey I found two “reserved” seats in first class which were unoccupied where we could sit together.
